Alright folks, the day is almost upon us. Say it with me:
Record Store Day.
Whether those words cause excitement or nausea, if you're a record collector, odds are that there is at least ONE release per year tantalizing enough to drag you (or almost drag you) out of your house on a brisk April morning.
Sadly, this year the one release on my SUPER MUST HAVE/WOULD KNOCK PEOPLE OVER FOR release is only being sold in Europe (or maybe even just England?), so that kind of blows. On a related note, if anyone across the pond wanted to be my super-favorite-best-friend, all they would have to do is buy this for me and I will pay you back I swear:

...Anyway...In the past, I've had massive hauls (because self-control around music is //HARD//), but this year, my "Must Have" list feels quite a bit shorter:
MUST HAVES:
- The Beatles- Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane 7" (For obvious reasons...obviously)
- The Easybeats- Vigil (I fell in love with this band when I got their RSD release last year. I am an absolute sucker for any music that happened in the 1960's, so I mean I kind of have to...)
- The Kinks- All Day and All of the Night (1960's. Do I need to say anything else?)
- Various Artists- Nuggets: Come To The Sunshine: Soft Pop Nuggets from the WEA Vaults (A GIRL JUST HAS TO HAVE HER NUGGETS! #NUGGSFORMELANI)
IF I FEEL LIKE IT:
- Pink Floyd- Interstellar Overdrive ("A previously unreleased 14:57 minute recording from 1966, released in mono at 33 1/3 for Record Store Day." UM OKAY THAT'S PRETTY COOL)
- Procol Harum- Shine On Brightly
Various Artists- The Rough Guide To Bollywood The Psychedelic Years (UM WHAAATT?)
Temples/Kadhja Bonet- "Fortune"/"I Wanna Be A Free Girl" (I <3 Temples)
- The Kinks- Got Love if you Want It (I'm so predictable. I'll probably get this one, seeing as I have all of the Kinks' other RSD releases.)
Not bad compared to what my list usually looks like. I guess we'll see what happens on Saturday. Wish my bank account luck.
